Our story
More than a knife store
Araza is a brand built around the connection between fire, cooking, gathering and meaningful gifts.
The birth of Araza
Araza was founded by Diego Casas
A chef and the creator behind Food Reflection, from a lifelong connection with cooking, fire and bringing people together through food.
After years working in kitchens and creating experiences around food, Diego wanted to build a brand inspired by the tools and traditions that make cooking more meaningful.
The name comes from the Arazá fruit, a native Uruguayan fruit that represents our roots, nature and the flavours that bring people together.
Inspired by Uruguay's asado culture and Australia's love for outdoor cooking, Araza was created to celebrate the moments that happen around the fire, the table and the people we share them with.

Inspired by asado culture
Barbecue is more than cooking
In Uruguay and across South America, barbecue is more than cooking. It is a tradition.
The asador is not just someone who prepares food. It is someone who creates an experience for others.
The fire, the preparation and the time spent together are all part of the ritual. Araza was inspired by this idea of cooking as a way of bringing people together.
The meaning behind the knife
A great knife is more than a kitchen tool
It is something you use, appreciate and display. A well-designed knife can become part of the kitchen itself, a piece that reflects the personality and passion of the person who owns it.
For many people, receiving a quality knife is a meaningful gift. It represents passion, craftsmanship and the enjoyment of creating something with your own hands.
Whether it is used by a professional chef, a BBQ enthusiast or someone who simply enjoys cooking at home, a good knife becomes part of their story.
The Araza purpose
Celebrate the ritual of cooking
Inspired by South American fire traditions and Australia's outdoor cooking culture, Araza brings carefully selected knives and kitchen pieces to those who enjoy cooking, sharing and creating memorable moments.
Our purpose is simple: to celebrate the ritual of cooking and the experiences created around food.
